Did You Know? A Dog's Nose Can Identify Millions of Scents!
Share
A dog's sense of smell is 40,000 to 100,000 times more powerful than that of humans! This is because they have about 300 million olfactory receptors, compared to about 5 million in humans. This allows dogs to detect incredibly subtle differences in scents and track their sources. For example, dogs can use their noses to distinguish between different types of food, track missing persons, and even detect diseases.
This is why dogs are often trained to assist police and medical teams.
